I listened to Shirley MacLaine this evening as she explained that she had a ‘knowing’ of spiritual self and has the strongly held belief that she had a past existence prior to this life on Earth and believes that what we call death is a transitional experience to another place where our conscious self continues to think and be. She is not alone in this belief and while not all Ministers. Priests, Rabbis and Imams specifically mention pre-existence, they most certainly preach life after death.
Ask one of those religious teachers about it, where it is and who’s there in this place that we go to after death and the answers are vague and illusory.
I’m not so well versed in so many ancient texts that speak of the afterlife as I am in the Bible. However, I know the interpretations of what Heaven, The Kingdom of God and the afterlife is, is taught to be pretty much the same.
When asked, far more people will tell you they believe in God and Heaven than don’t and they hope there is an afterlife all the while not knowing who God is, why they are here and where they are going. So I think it is intriguing that people can be complacent about their life’s purpose and destination. It’s like buying a ticket on a mystery tour and hope the destination is to your liking. I reckon the Traveller’s Guide to a Small Planet needs an entry for “The Afterlife”. Of course, that supposes someone could provide a write up. According to the majority of religious teachers around the globe, the write up for the afterlife is that heaven is the ultimate destination not to be ignored. A must for every “Bucket List” a destination to die for.
So where does the modern 21st century traveler turn to for a critique of cloud nine, how do you get the low-down on the digs behind Saint Peter’s pearly gates? Surely if the place is as good as the religious teachers teach there should be an up-to-date review ready for potential visitors to consider.
Unfortunately, the travel brochures supplied by the popular fanchises spruiking heaven as the ultimate destination are somewhat out of date. The most popular, the Bible, is almost two thousand years old and the self appointed agencies representing heaven guard their franchises very jealously because I was informed that if I were to try another agency I would most likely be unable to obtain a visa and be prohibited from visiting the ultimate destination altogether. Additionally, I was told by all the popular agencies that if I tried to go directly to the inhabitants I would be seduced by evil impostors and end up buying a one way ticket on an eternal bad trip.
So why the jealousy between Heaven’s franchises? If the destination is as good as they say it is, why can’t I look around and determine which agency I want to use just as I would if I were going to Fiji for the weekend?
My franchise told me the other franchises are masquerading and only mine was the franchise that could guarantee to deliver me to their Heavenly destination. So while each franchise competes for business and bad mouths the other I decided to see what other avenues to my Heavenly vision were available.
Looking outside the usual franchises, I found that the traditional owners of the planet had been teaching their children and children’s children how to maintain that spiritual contact with Heaven since before the franchises’ and their ancient texts were created. My franchise warned me to keep away from, the shamans, medicine men, seers and astrologers less I be seduced by evil spirits and others said I would end up in a fiery place of eternal torment. That one story alone has either frightened people to stay close to their family’s franchise or to give up believing in the spiritual realm alltogether. If they are correct, then heaven must have very few residents compared to hell which must contain the vast majority of humanity who bought a ticket on the wrong boat.
Regarding Heaven’s residents. It seems some are the same as those mentioned in the ancient texts. While warning spiritual travellers away from directly contacting heaven’s residents, the franchises had not renewed their acquaintance with those they purported to represent and had not heard from them in quite a while and no longer received updates or news of the latest Heavenly activities.
Meanwhile the indigenous continued to treat their dead ancestors with respect and maintain communication with the residents of Heaven knowing their ancestors make up some of those who are resident in that invisible place just as your franchise may teach that your ancestors may also be Heaven’s residents. While the popular franchises held some of the same beliefs as the indigenous they feared the way the indigenous contacted the spirit realm directly. They Feared they were contacting evil entities.
Both claim to be contacting their ancestors. Would our ancestors mislead us? Are they evil? Would you be misleading or evil to your children? To think that one franchise’s heavenly residents are favoured over another or that the ancestors of the indigenous spirits are somehow unwelcome by the God of one or another franchise is to fly in the face of what Jesus stated when he said “a house that stand against itself can not stand”. He spoke these words when he was accused of consulting the spirits from outside the agreed franchise of the Jews at that time.
Evil exists in the world and heaven’s franchises rightly warn you to be wary of evil. However, It is time you peeked into the doorway of the other franchises and the meeting places of the indigenous. You will find people like you, you will find they are receiving healing just like you and they treat each other with love like you do in your franchise and there is respect and a love for Heaven there just like yours. Just peek in the door if you’re near, have a little listen as you pass you will find a respect for Heaven there too. Everyone has purchased a ticket and the destination is the same even if the port of departure is not.
As long as tickets are purchased and sold with unconditional love you need not worry if you are travelling with the right franchise because the residents of Heaven will surround you and carry you to your destination.
