Be careful what you like

There are algorithms and robot watchers that follow you on the Internet. Every time you like something on Facebook it learns what you like and sends you more. When you search for a product, holiday or service, Google is watching and brings you more adverts just like the ones you searched for.

What you receive is what you were browsing for.

In order to receive worthwhile material it is important to be specific about what you view and like otherwise you’ll end up with all manner of unhelpful stuff that clutters up your in-box and valuable time.

Life is like that.

Sometimes you just can’t catch a break. You get up in the morning and it’s one thing after another. There’s no milk, it’s raining, the bus is late, then crowded. Your appointment doesn’t show and you forgot your lunch. That’s the day the credit card doesn’t work even though you know it has funds.

It’s times like these that you have to NOT click the LIKES!

Consider self talk as LIKES. The conversations with yourself as these things are occurring effect your emotions and your emotions telegraph the universe your current status or LIKE.

The Law of Attraction is real whether you understand it or not, whether you believe it or not.

The Law of Attraction: Like brings unto it, like.

So if you perpetuate your low emotional status with self talk, the universe says “Oh! Is that your status? Here, have some more.”

So catch yourself when something goes amiss. Instead of saying “That always happens that way” or “he/she always does that” while feeling frustrated, just don’t say it to your self. Self talk perpetuates the emotion and the emotion telegraphs the universe to send more just like it.

So the best way to ensure that you attract what you want rather than what you don’t want is to start with your thoughts.

“Everything goes right for me. Everything goes right for me.”

Don’t underestimate appreciation and gratitude. Look for the things you like and use the self talk to appreciate and be grateful for them. As you do, your emotional status will rise and that will be your signal to the universe to bring what you really wish to attract.

So tomorrow morning start the day with appreciation that the sun rose. Appreciate the rain that nourishes the plant life, that here in Sydney we have an abundance of food and we’re spoiled for choice at the supermarket. There are so many things to appreciate. Being grateful and filling our self talk with appreciation squeezes out the negative talk little by little. Try it, what’s the worst that could happen? Your emotional state might improve and joy and happiness may become more abundant.

My First Time

Image

My skin tingled as I turned and caught sight of how beautiful she was for the first time. The full moon, yellow and enormous, poking a curious eye over the horizon as if to say, “I see you.”

As I stood high on the Brown Street steps watching, the experience brought new emotions to the surface I had not experienced before. Although living by the beach, it was the first time I had seen a moon rise and this moon rise was a beauty.

Its huge yellow face peeked over the horizon. An enormous yellow orb with its familiar ‘man in the moon’ markings winking a knowing wink at me.

I stood there basking in the emotion until I was late for my appointment and hurried in the opposite direction while looking over my shoulder for any glimpse I might catch through the trees and houses of this delightful new acquaintance I had just made.

Later that night I tried to find that friendly floating orb that was winking at me from the horizon only to discover it had returned to its familiar lunar appearance and place in the sky. It’s ageless countenance illuminating the domain over which it glides. No longer paying me the close attention it had earlier in the day. The moon was busy being the moon again.

On the use of modern technical office equipment

copier

I want to know if the Navy ever has similar situations in their work place as we do in our office?

I have a picture in my head. Instead of Victoria or Sandra standing at the photo copier with its flashing error light and one of them calling across the office and asking if I can make the copier work, I can visualise a seaman on board a Navy frigate standing next to a guided missile launch system watching the flashing error light on the panel and scratching his head.

“I don’t know why the error light keeps flashing! I cleared the fuel jam in the fuel filler three times now and it still keeps telling me to clear the fuel filler. . . It’s so frustrating.” Sargent, can you get this missile to fire?

“You’ll need to call the engineer. If he can’t make it work you’ll need to call the technician again. We had him out this morning for the Lazer Guided Guns, but they only come out on Tuesdays so you’ll need to call before two.”

If rocket science was like printing to the photocopier then down at Cape Canaveral the giant countdown clock would be stuck on 10 seconds to lift off and in the middle of the command centre would be half a dozen people or more standing around a big blast off button with a flashing error light. While one person is hands on all the others offer constructive assistance.

“Have you tried jiggling it? ”
“I’ve jiggled it and pushed it up and down and it still won’t blast off! ”
“Well you’d better call the technician before they go home or it’ll never blast off before knock off time”.

As each new thingamajig is launched at the crowd, it includes an array of features we only dreamed about a few years previous. Telephones that, with a single data call, you can access all the knowledge of mankind at your fingertips and what do we do with it? If we can find a technician that can connect it to the network we look at pictures of cats.

Hey mate! How do you make this thing turn on?

A beep and a chime to attract our attention
Ask Siri to answer the thing that you mention
It scans us and tracks us it knows where we are
Escape it you cannot no matter how far
A thousands hit songs on your phone play out loud
Can all be off loaded and stored in the cloud
You swipe it and wipe it, you tap it and tag it
At the market cash register it asks you to bag it
A must through the day is to take a short while
Turn the damned stuff off and give us a smile

I hope your day is abundantly free of stuff ups, paper jams and technician callouts.
May your day dreams be pleasant ones filled with marvellous things that bring joy and may all your error lights be off.

How are your savings going?

Image

Have you been making regular deposits at the bank? If you have, then you probably are a little more secure knowing that you can access those savings for your needs and desires in the future and if you choose the right bank it will reward you by adding interest to your deposit.

What if I told you that you had an account with a bank that you probably didn’t even know existed? I discovered it by accident while looking for something I lost a very long time ago. The internet is so useful for finding information and discovering new things. Many items of discovery are bizarre and you just have to think twice, how can this be true when I knew nothing about this, nor my parents or my parent’s parent’s? You may have heard rumours of strange things and some of these may be so strange that you can’t fit them into your current paradigm, your current perception of the world and all you know. They belong in the realms of crop circles, ghosts, JFK assassination theories and little green men from Mars.

When I first found the information about this bank I was pretty curious I must say. I found out that I had been unknowingly making deposits my whole life without realising the wealth I had accumulated and I really thought I’d like a little bit of it back. So, I kept doing my research and found that access to the account was via that which I had lost so long ago. The very thing that I had been looking for was the key, the access code to my account.

Let me tell you, this isn’t any regular bank. This bank resides in the realm that physicists call the quantum realm. It’s the bank of thoughts and desires and everyone who has walked this planet has had an account.

Did you ever tell yourself that you would like a beautiful thing? It’s in your account. Did you wish for the right person to come into your life? It went into your account. Did you desire to live in a peaceful place with people you love? It was deposited by you into your account. Every thought and every desire you have ever had is stored in your account awaiting your withdrawal. All you need is the key.

The key to accessing your great wealth is Self Love. Pretty simple you would think. We were all born in loving bliss expecting unconditional love and pre tuned to our quantum account. However, from that day on we were conditioned to ignore love of Self and to think and act to please others, to conform to social, family and other’s expectations so most of us don’t even know how to recognise self love let alone summon the emotion.

This is the key I was looking for although I did not know it. Perfect Self Love. The key to all of our desires and happiness. I thought it was worth looking for, don’t you?

Quantum physicists will tell you that all things are energy. The computer you are looking at right now is just a soup of atoms and electrons all whizzing about at their particular frequency. All matter has a frequency because all matter is energy. So, the hippies were right, you have to get the right vibe.

You have to tune into your account on your account’s frequency and when you do, bits and pieces of your wealth fall out. One way to find that frequency is to get happy. Happy leads to Love and your personal emotion of love unlocks your account so that your desires drop into your life just when you need them most.

Some people are so focused on their desires and intentions they unlock their accounts without knowing how they do it. You’ve probably met some. They are the ones with incredible focus, intent and desire. Things fall into place for them and work out well for them. Some call them “lucky”.

This bank of thoughts and desires, as I call it, has been called many things. The Vortex, Source, Enlightenment, Salvation, Awakening or God.

How does that feel? By just reading these names you will either be uncomfortable or curious. These names elicit feelings and emotions and those feelings and emotions are the key to the bank account of your thoughts and desires. An uncomfortable feeling usually means you are not in alignment, not in tune, don’t have the vibe with your own Self Love which is the key. The concept may be so “outside the square” for you, you are already clicking off the page. However, the next time you are feeling a happy emotion within yourself, happy about the way life is treating you, think about what you desire and try to stay in that happy emotion as much as possible. Enjoy what the days bring, try not to allow other’s expectations to stifle that happiness and when you have it mastered, POP. Maybe not the thing you desired but the exact opposite. You wonder and think, “This is all rubbish!”

Then, that thing that was out of the blue causes the other thing to happen and it happens . . . and you say to yourself, “Did that really happen?” Perhaps.

Now, like Alice in Wonderland it gets curiouser and curiouser until you are convinced. These are not coincidences. This is really happening.

The Jew Jesus, having spent most of his life meditating and improving his love of self, love of others and awareness of God his whole life, was a master of understanding the energy of Love. He mastered Love, the connection and key to spiritual awareness, the Bank of thoughts and desires and the ability to manifest the thoughts and desires even as he thought them.

He said “Stop storing up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal. Rather, store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

How those events have been recorded and interpreted are the subject of contention, but what cannot be argued is that Jesus taught that God is Love which is the very same message you will find from other “enlightened” teachers. The key to that source, that spiritual energy that unlocks your desires and can drop them into your life at the right time is Love.

What’s this “You have to love yourself” stuff?

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Have you tried to be hospitable to an unfamiliar visitor who will not accept your hospitality? Not a cup of tea nor a glass of water. Their insistence that they are ‘just fine’ can create an awkwardness which doesn’t arise when the visitor accepts the offer with appreciation and thanks.

Love can be related directly to the act of giving and accepting. What is given or accepted doesn’t have to have a monetary value. A kind greeting, a glass of water or even the offer to sit a while and enjoy some talk on a shaded verandah are expressions of kindness and love.

So how are you doing when it comes to giving to yourself? Do you love yourself? Does that person in your mind always say “I don’t deserve this or I can’t do that or even more disheartening, I don’t deserve that”? Just like the visitor who refuses your hospitality, such self talk generates awkwardness with Self which can be uncomfortable. There is truth to the saying about being uncomfortable in one’s own skin.

Loving yourself doesn’t mean being vain or egocentric. In fact, it is the opposite. To love oneself is to understand what makes you happy, healthy and what doesn’t and to focus on the former. To love yourself may seem strange to some and difficult to grasp. One reason may be possibly due to a life long conditioning of being told that it is better to give than receive.

Generosity is noble. However, early life relationship lessons may have omitted that some kinds of giving should have limits. Perhaps discipline and consequences of some decisions moulded you into a consistentgiver. Maybe your parents, teacher or someone else always insisted you do things their way, never letting you express your own creative way of doing things. In effect, giving away your freedom, creativity and individuality so it eventually becomes a learned habit which carries over into other areas of life’s relationships by always feeling the need to please others.

Giving and taking in a relationship involves the transferring of emotions. However, the give and take in a relationship may become unbalanced with more taken by others while you, on the other hand, are all give and no take. This kind of giving is exhausting of vital energy which is necessary for healthy mental and physical health. When we are emotionally drained, taxed and exhausted our bodies suffer too. You need to protect yourself.

This is what it means to love yourself. Not asking too much from yourself. Learning to say no when someone is asking you to “give” when you are already spent and learning to say yes to things you have forbidden yourself. I’m not talking about donuts and cakes. I’m talking about clocking out at work on time to catch some sunlight or enjoy a walk on the way home. Ignoring the telephone and turning up your favourite popsong, opera or jazz. You know that thing you always wanted to do and will get around to it one day? Give yourself a gift. Love yourself and do it.

To love yourself is learning to say ‘yes’ to your own desires and ‘no’ to the taxing demands of others who have a history of drawing out your emotional energy for themselves. Saying yes to your own desires is not selfish, however, you may have to convince a difficult task master whose habit is to always say no. Yourself.

Albert Einstein said the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Repeating the same self talk and thoughts over and over again will reinforce and produce the same results in your life. It is reported that the average individual has 60 thousand thoughts a day and 95% of those thoughts are the same as yesterday’s. If you think this describes your thinking and you desire a change which includes more happiness, less stress and better mental and physical health, isn’t it time you loved yourself and said ‘yes’ to your heat’s desire? Change your thinking, change your life.

Strange Times

Infinity-Time1

While winding back the clock this morning, I started thinking about time. I am told any physicist who knows anything at all about time, knows there is no such thing. Time is neither an event nor a thing and is unmeasurable as is the universe. The mystics, like modern physicists, have taught that the universe has no beginning or ending, it has no boundaries, no edges, no inside or outside. The further we explore subatomic particle inward or outward with all kinds of telescopes and probes we can find no boundary to this universe and cannot measure the timelessness of something with no beginning or ending. It isn’t just stranger than we think. It is stranger than we can think.

No rest for the wicked

Work is tough these days and the chores required in the modern household never cease. There’s so much to do over the weekend.
I need to do the grocery shopping and Coles Online is soooo slow. I don’t know which job to do next because both the dishwasher and cloths washer/dryer are beeping at me.
I can’t watch the satellite because I can’t find the remote and iPod music shuffle selection is mostly country western. Pew! The vacuum robot needs a charge so the floor will have to wait while I take care of all the other work.
I think I’ll wash the car this afternoon. I wonder how long the queue is?

Annie Get Your Gun

Is it just me or do you also find it alarming that the yanks need an organisation like the Centre for Disease Control to conduct a study into child gun related deaths to conclude that children and firearms in the same household are a bad mix.

The study noted:

The number of children hospitalized for gunshot wounds increased from 4,270 in 1997 to 7,730 in 2009. In-hospital deaths among pediatric gunshot patients increased from 317 to 503 over the same period.

I also read this brilliant piece of insight:

Given the trends in gun ownership and childhood deaths attributable to gunshot wounds, Madenci and Christopher B. Weldon, MD, PhD, of Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard, hypothesized that household gun ownership would correlate with childhood gunshot wounds.

These are the statistics:

Over the course of the study period, 31,156 children were hospitalized for gunshot wounds and 2,159 children died in hospital of gunshot wounds.

They spent $100,00 studying the percentage rate of injuries from Any Gun versus Loaded Guns and Loaded Guns in Unlocked Storage.

The $100,000 was part of the $6 BILLION budget spent on Gun Related Issues.

SIX BILLION DOLLARS !

It looks to me that the children are getting shot. . . while the consultants, politicians and thumb twiddlers divide the spoils.

Of course guns and children don’t mix. Only a greedy consulting organisation would put their hand out to contemplate the need for research.

Climate Science

faux-crow-pie

If I gathered all the dots from all the “I’s”…
and the crosses from all of the “T’s”…
and sprinkled them on the pie charts from this hullabaloo called climate science……

… I’d have a recipe infinitely easier to digest than the crap being served up for us to understand now!

Finding the G-Spot

Some of my earliest memories are of me sitting on the front step with a pencil and paper drawing Astro Boy. I could render a pretty good likeness of Doctor Elephant as well.astroelephant

My talent for reproducing early Japanese anime wasn’t particularly useful in my working career nor the fighter jet planes that adorned the school’s text books after I had finished with them or that incident involving a spray can and the school wall. Though, whenever possible, I illustrated and designed to earn a living. It’s what I enjoyed doing.

I’ve been asked to illustrate an assortment of things from devices like operating tables, welders, truck and car parts and laboratory equipment. I enjoyed drafting maps and drawing birds eye views of districts and estates, artist impressions of property developments and posters of all kinds. However, finding material for my latest project was a little more challenging.

I was asked to draw a G-Spot!

It was to be included in a publication by my female doctor employer about increasing women’s libido. Time for research.

I’ve been married close to 30 years and work in an office full of women so, of course, when it came to researching women’s sexuality I didn’t breath a word of it. I needed to find the G-Spot? Of course, where else? Google.

The guys in I.T. sounded professional on the phone but I suspect they may have had a snicker or two when I told them some of the search tags I required in order to get past the firewall.

When I informed my employer and the author of the publication that I had researched the location of the G-Spot and produced an illustration showing where the majority opinion said it was, she was extremely pleased with the result.

Later in the day there was an unannounced vist to the office by a female colleague of the Doctor’s and they walked in while I had the illustration on the screen. The first thing the visitor saw on screen was a 21 inch vulva, to which my female employer announced loud enough for all the women in the office to hear.

“This is my designer Mark, he has been searching for days but at last he has found the G-Spot for me.”
